The next day, we decided to engage a local tour package Cai Be - Vinh Long (USD$15 per person). At 7:30am , we departed for a 3-hour drive to Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta. The tour begins with a visit of the colorful Cai Be floating market, cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables, followed by a visit to some local home factories that produce rice cracker, pop rice and coconut candy. Continuing by hand-oared sampan ride along the canals. Then have Fried Elephant Ear Fish for lunch at a local restaurant located on a small islet. After lunch, we can go for cycling with the free bicycle from that restaurant before we go back to the boat and back to Saigon.
